Following is information on Football Mania process for 2020-21 NFL season:
In the event of an NFL delay/cancellation - our contingency plan As of right now the NFL plans to start its season on time and play a full 17 week schedule. But we realize things can change. If the NFL pushes back the season but plans to play all games, then we will adjust our schedule accordingly and calculate winners on the new dates provided by the NFL. If the length of the NFL season changes and they play fewer than 17 weeks, then we will implement our contingency plan to calculate winners and award prize money during any missed weeks by using the scores from a random week in a prior season (details outlined below).
Contingency plan details - How we will calculate winners for any cancelled weeks To calculate winners for any canceled weeks of the NFL season, we will use the football scores from a random prior season (between 2010-2019). The random prior season will be chosen based on the last digit of the Dow Jones Industrial Average at the close of the market on the Monday that we would normally calculate winners for that week. The last digit (the hundredths digit, i.e. to the penny) will represent the year we will use. For example, if the Dow Jones closes at 21350.62 then we will use the number “2” and therefore the 2012 season would be our randomly selected season. Keeping with this example then, if the NFL Week 3 is cancelled, then we would use the Week 3 scores from the 2012 season instead.
CharityMania has your back - All FootballMania winners will be calculated and prize money paid The total number of winners, prize money awarded, and odds of winning will not be affected by any schedule changes. All promised prize money will be paid.
